Meet Mixie!

Mixie is an adorable 8-pound Chihuahua mix who joined Beyond Rescue from a rural shelter in early June. She got her name from her beautiful mix of fur colors—white, black, and brown—which perfectly matches her unique personality.

When Mixie first arrived, she was understandably nervous and unsure of her new surroundings. Since then, she has been slowly blossoming in foster care. Each day she gains a little more confidence, enjoying walks, exploring the world around her, and playing with her foster dog sibling.

Mixie has done well with other dogs and is comfortable being handled by her foster family. She hasn't met cats or children yet, but her gentle nature suggests she may do well with a thoughtful introduction. Because she can be easily startled, Mixie is looking for a calm, patient, and understanding home that will continue helping her build confidence at her own pace.

She's fully potty trained in her foster home and is excellent in her crate, making her an easy addition to a loving family.

Once Mixie trusts you, she'll reward you with endless love and loyalty. She's ready to find the special person or family who will help her continue her journey and show her just how wonderful life can be.
