Wilson arrived from a Central Valley shelter looking more like a little mop than a dog. He was terribly matted and dirty, and it was clear he hadn’t had the care he deserved. But somehow, through all of that, Wilson has remained the sweetest, happiest little guy.

He’s about to get a much-needed grooming, and we have a feeling that handsome face hiding under all that fluff is going to be quite the transformation.

Wilson is a total love bug. He’s playful, affectionate, and happiest when he’s with his people. He’s definitely more interested in his humans than in making a million dog friends, so he’d be a wonderful companion for someone who really enjoys having their dog by their side.

Picture Wilson curled up at your feet while you work, strolling with you to the corner café, or happily tagging along for a walk around the neighborhood. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to be part of your everyday life.

He’s still getting comfortable with being in a crate, and he’s much more interested in being out in the world with his people. He’s making progress and will do best with someone who can give him a little patience as he settles into his new life.

Wilson is a lovely little fella with a big heart, and we can’t wait to see him come out from under that mop and start enjoying the good life he deserves.
