Meet Whiskey, the sweetest, smoothest, dog whom you’ll want to bring everywhere.

Are you a lover of hiking in the hills, trekking through trails, and running around on beaches? Well, Whiskey is enamored with those places, too. This handsome male pup is a noteworthy companion, and he’ll be happy to be by your side, wherever you go.

True to his namesake, Whiskey is very sociable, and he gets along well with just about everybody. He’d be happy to cuddle with his head on your leg, as much as he’s comfortable in a gathering of people, looking for love and cheese. He gets along well with other dogs, once they’ve had a chance to meet, and although he’s never lived with a cat, I have no doubt they’d work it out amicably.

Whiskey makes a great listener; he knows at least a dozen useful instructions and he can be regularly trusted to do what he’s asked, both when requested and often, without prompting. So much so, that he’s fine to let off leash in the right environment – you’ll look to see where he went, and he’ll be walking right alongside you.

We have 100% proof that Whiskey is high-spirited; he loves to play fetch with a ball, wrastle with other dogs, and race up and down hillsides. He’s curious and inquisitive, and ever-eager to investigate, but at the end of the day, he’s an angelic sleeper and a light snorer.

We want Whiskey to have the best life possible, ideally, as unconditionally and reciprocally loved by a compassionate and caring family. We are no longer able to provide a forever home for him, with the care he deserves, but there is not a bit of our hearts that’s not sad to give him up. Clearly, we think Whiskey is a dog par excellence, and we hope to find someone who will cherish him as such.

Whiskey does have a few challenges that you should know about upfront. He does not like being all by himself for extended periods of time – nobody does, I suppose – but after a while, he’ll bark to let everyone know. Chalk that up to being born in May 2020.

Whiskey also has a couple totally manageable health issues; he takes daily Benadryl to prevent minor mast cell tumors, and we give him CBD oil to avert infrequent seizures. He’s covered by Healthy Paws insurance, which coverage his dad would be happy to help transfer to you. Otherwise, he doesn’t have a single other common canine behavioral problem; he’s generally not vocal, nor aggressive nor destructive, he’s not a jumper, nor a beggar, nor a biter. Note that Whiskey does pair well with chicken.
