Tara is about 3 years old and came to Beyond Rescue from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. She spent the first years of her life living in a crate, so everything about being a beloved pet is brand new to her.

Her little feet are still stained from years of living in urine, and she's learning things most dogs take for granted—how to walk on a leash, that hands can be gentle, and that pottying happens outside instead of where she sleeps. Considering where she started, she's doing amazingly well.

Tara is incredibly gentle, sweet, and never anything but kind. Once she feels safe, she eagerly climbs into your lap and simply wants to be close.

She doesn't need a perfect home—just a patient one. Someone who will celebrate the little victories, look past where she's been, and see the beautiful little dog she's becoming.
