Welcome Squirrel!
Squirrel is a sweet, smart, and affectionate 1-year-old Border Collie mix who is ready to find her forever family. She’s a true lovebug who adores people and often gazing up with that classic Border Collie focus and eager-to-please expression.

Squirrel is an energetic girl who thrives on adventure. She loves the beach, hiking, nature outings, and would absolutely shine in a training class. True to her breed mix, she’s active, intelligent, and happiest when her body and mind are engaged. After exercise, she settles nicely and enjoys being close to her people.

She is fully housetrained, has excellent recall, knows her name well, and knows “sit.” Squirrel has been great with every dog she’s met so far—big, small, and even a grumpy senior Chihuahua! She also passed her cat test at the shelter and is learning city life quickly.

Because Squirrel is still young and learning polite greetings, she can get excited and jump up. For now, we are recommending a home without small children. With continued training, consistency, and structure, Squirrel has all the makings of a wonderful family dog and will grow into a loving companion who can happily live with kids in the future.
