MEET SCRAPPY!

Scrappy was found wandering the streets of San Jose — scared and unsure, but still willing to cooperate for a snack. Neighbors believe he may have been dumped, which is hard to imagine once you meet this sweet little guy.

We think he was once someone’s lap dog. He settles into his crate and spends his days happily napping as long as he knows his people are nearby.

Scrappy can be shy at first, but with gentle encouragement (and treats), he warms up and becomes your little shadow. He prefers people over other dogs and does well with gentle kids, retreating to a quiet space if things feel overwhelming.

He’s not much of a barker, though he may get cautious on nighttime walks if he can’t see something clearly.

All Scrappy wants is a warm lap and someone who makes him feel safe and loved — and that’s exactly what he deserves.
