Meet Ryder! He is a smart, handsome, athletic and eager to please great pyrenees /border collie mix looking for his loving forever home. He loves to play with both humans and dog friends!

Ryder was saved from euthanasia at a crowded local shelter. He came to Milo as a diamond in the rough. He started off only knowing sit and paw, but has since learned basic obedience and impulse control commands such as place, come, down, and no (leave it/stop). He now walks well on a loose leash (though he can get a distracted by squirrels). Ryder does best with structure and a daily routine that includes play and exercise. He has been loving his daily runs with his foster, as well as his neighborhood walks and play sessions in the backyard. Balls and frisbees are his favorite toys. Ryder plays well with small and medium dogs of all ages (some big, assertive dogs make him a little nervous). Between activities, Ryder can be left at home unsupervised for up to 4-5 hours. 

Ryder has completed a board and train program that has helped to build his confidence around strangers, improve his focus on walks with distractions and manage his play impulses while in the house. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. Ryder is looking for an active, patient and loving home with or without another dog that will continue to reinforce his training with the support of his board & train trainer as needed.Milo foundation
