Mr Ed - ADOPTED

Mr Ed - ADOPTED
Mr. Ed (yes, like the horse!)
Mr. Ed is a 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd, currently around 96 lbs and still filling out. With time and stability, he’s expected to reach 110–120 lbs. Tall, lean, and powerful, he carries the calm, steady presence typical of a true livestock guardian dog. Observant and thoughtful, he is confident without being reactive, frantic, or novelty-seeking.
Bred for thousands of years to think independently and protect without instruction, Mr. Ed embodies his lineage. A crowded shelter was not the right environment for him, but in a calm home with clear boundaries, he settles quickly. He appears to be housebroken, stays close to his person, and self-regulates well when appropriately managed. He generally does fine with other dogs but does not need a busy pack or constant interaction; calm companionship suits him best.
Mr. Ed is not a dog-park dog, beginner-friendly, or a city companion who wants to go everywhere. He will thrive in a rural, semi-rural, or quiet suburban setting with space, predictability, and people who understand guardian breeds and respect boundaries.
Beyond Rescue typically adopts within 200 miles of San Francisco, though exceptions may be considered for the right home that demonstrates experience and an appropriate environment. Placement quality matters most.
