Maris is a sweet girl with a gentle personality who needs time to feel safe in new places. She can be shy at first, especially when she is adjusting to unfamiliar environments, but once she feels secure, she becomes very affectionate and energetic.

Right now, Maris is most confident indoors, where she loves cuddling in her bed, giving lots of kisses, and staying close to her people and foster dog siblings. She warms up once trust is built, but she needs patience and consistency to get there.

Maris loves other dogs and would benefit from a confident dog sibling she can cuddle with. She is briefly vocal for the first 15–20 minutes when left in her crate during the day, but she settles down on her own and sleeps well in her crate overnight.  She is doing well with house training.

Outdoors and in unfamiliar environments, Maris is still building confidence. Her hesitation is about the newness of places, not the people or dogs in them. She is timid on leash and will need slow, thoughtful introductions to new settings and routines. When out and about, she enjoys riding in a sling or travel backpack, and she is friendly and curious with new people and eager to meet other dogs.

Maris is looking for a patient home that is willing to move at her pace. With time, reassurance, and companionship, she will reward her people with deep loyalty, endless kisses, and the sweetest cuddles.
