Joanie is crate trained and mostly housetrained. She can startle easily if approached too quickly, and may have a little submissive pee when nervous, so she does best with calm handling, soft voices, and patient people who let her come to them at her own pace.

Once she feels comfortable, Joanie has the sweetest little habit of reaching out with her paw to gently pull your hand back for more pets. It’s her quiet way of asking for affection, and it’s impossible not to melt when she does it.
