CLIFFORD - ADOPTED

6–7 months old • 55 pounds • Big goofy puppy with a heart of gold (and growing into his paws daily)

Clifford is a young Doberman Pinscher puppy who came to the shelter through no fault of his own—and he has handled the change with a wagging tail and a whole lot of optimism. He’s a happy, goofy boy with classic puppy energy, a big personality, and an even bigger capacity for love.

True to his breed, Clifford is intelligent, eager to engage, and deeply people-oriented. He thrives when he has structure, consistency, and clear guidance from his humans. He’s the kind of pup who wants to do things right—he just still needs help learning what “right” looks like.

Clifford is currently fostered with other large dogs and does well in that environment. He enjoys canine companionship and benefits from having stable, confident dog friends around him.

He is crate trained and working on transitioning fully to outdoor potty training. He was previously pee pad trained, so he’s currently learning a new routine and making steady progress as he adjusts.

Like many young Dobermans, Clifford is active, strong, and still growing into both his body and his brain. He can be a bit clumsy and exuberant, and he’ll need an adopter who is committed to ongoing training, exercise, and mental stimulation to help him thrive.

Because of his size, energy, and need for structure, Clifford is not a first-time dog. He will do best with an experienced owner who understands working breeds and is prepared to provide consistent leadership, boundaries, and engagement.

Clifford is sweet, playful, handsome, and full of potential. In the right home, he’s going to grow into an incredible, loyal companion.
