Chapo is a 5-year-old French Bulldog who truly lives up to the description “velvet gremlin”—soft, silly, slightly squishy, and completely endearing. He is the kind of dog who just wants to be with his person and take part in whatever the day brings.

Chapo came to us from a local shelter after being surrendered by his previous family. Since arriving in foster care, he has settled in beautifully and shown just how affectionate and loving he can be once he feels safe and stable.

He is crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and does well in a family home environment. He gets along with most other dogs and enjoys being part of the daily routine, whether that’s lounging around the house or going on relaxed outings with his people. He may occasionally need a little encouragement on walks, but he responds well to guidance and structure.

Chapo thrives when expectations are clear and consistent. With routine and gentle boundaries, he shines as a devoted, people-focused companion who just wants to be included and loved.

He does have some ongoing tummy sensitivities, but his foster has found a diet that works well for him and keeps him feeling good.
