Meet Basil, hes'  60% Chihuahua, 20% Poodle, 6% Cocker Spaniel, 4% Pekinese and 10% Super Mutt! We estimate him to be ~1 year old and he's 9lbs. He has the sweetest eyes and the cutest floppy brown ears to compliment his smooth coat.

This boy arrived initially shy and has really blossomed since coming to Beyond Rescue from an overcrowded shelter. He is high energy and loves to play hard with all dogs big and small. He will be the life of any dog party he's brought to!  He is not initially the cuddly type and prefers to hang or chill near you, but will start to become more affectionate as your relationship builds. He loves walks but is still working on his leash skills as he does become excited and will pull you in the direction he wants to go. He is fine being picked up but is a mover and shaker! Basil is potty trained in his foster home and is crate trained, sleeping soundly through the night. 

Basil does exhibit some hesitation with men in the home. He will bark and low growl until he becomes comfortable with them, but this does take some time. We think Basil would do best in a female home with another dog he can play with as he really does enjoy the company of other dogs.
